Nipun lakshyas in primary section
NIPUN(National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) in the primary section is important as it builds strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy. It ensures every child can read with understanding and solve basic math by Class 3, boosting confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning skills, while reducing future learning gaps across all subjects.
Class 3:-
Literacy:-Students made colorful paper boats and confidently spoke 2-3 sentences describing their boats.
Students used different shapes as best friends, enjoyed this rope play, and called shapes their best friends.
Tell 2 to 3 sentences about all things you see in the sky in hindi.
Numeracy:-
Identify the numbers on the clock (1 to 12).
Read time to the hour, half hour, and quarter hour.
Understand the movement of the hour hand and minute hand.
Solve simple word problems related to daily routine (e.g., “School starts at 8 o’clock, what time do you wake up?”).
Compare times (earlier, later, difference in time).
Class 4 :-
Literacy:-Through the story of Aasman Gira, children get to know about animals and their sounds and tell about the king of the jungle.
Position Words Activity: Students were engaged in identifying and using position words through interactive exercises. Real objects were placed in different positions, and learners described their placement using correct positional vocabulary.
Noun Activity: Flashcards and real-life objects were used to help students recognize and categorize nouns. Learners actively participated by naming and sorting the given items as person, place, animal, or thing.
To increase vocabulary have children stand in blocks and recite words and sentences. This will help children learn sentence formation.
Numeracy:-

Class 5:-

Word recognition and spelling in Hindi
Vocabulary enrichment
Sentence construction

Confidence in reading and writing
Numeracy:-Large number operations with place value flash cards:- Arrange digit flashcards to form the largest number using place value.
Fraction games with fraction kit:- Show halves, quarters, thirds using fraction kit to understand parts.
Students explored balance using classroom objects, learned weight comparison, and enjoyed hands-on practical activities.
Students learned angles as turns, practiced with fans body movement, and enjoyed fun turning activities.
