“Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat” is an Indian government initiative promoting cultural unity and understanding among diverse states. By pairing states for cultural, educational, and social exchanges, it fosters national integration, mutual respect, and strengthens the fabric of India’s diversity, celebrating the country’s rich heritage and shared identity.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is an activity undertaken by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, every year to promotes National integration and appreciation of Indian art and culture, thus sensitising students about the rich cultural heritage of their country and also to develop the feeling of admiration and respect for the cultures of different state.
